Quick trip to Death Valley, CA / Viaje Rapido a Death Valley, CA

I decided to take this trip at the last minute after only a month of my mom passing away (in fact some images were taking that particular day). I needed some time to relax, be alone (even if it was just only during my sleep in the tent) and to think about my family, thanks to my beautiful wife, and daughter for understanding and sacrificing our time together. It was also a big push for me to start photographing again, it's been awhile, and it's been scarce and with too many long pauses in between. I enjoy photographing, and at the moment it is maybe the only thing that really makes me forget everything else.

I hope the feelings of desolation, sadness, or otherwise my grieve doesn't translate too literal in my images. I promise happy images will come soon!

Decidí tomar este viaje a ultima hora, a solo 1 mes del fallecimiento de mi mama (inclusive algunas de las imagenes fueron tomadas ese dia en particular). Necesitaba ese tiempo para relajarme, estar solo (así fuera solo mientras dormia en la carpa) y para pensar en mi familia, gracias a mi bella esposa, e hija por entenderme y sacrificar nuestro tiempo juntos. También, fue un gran impulso para comenzar a fotografiar nuevamente, ya tengo un buen tiempo, y ha sido poco y con muchas largas pausas en cada intento. Disfruto fotografiar, y en este momento es quizás lo único que realmente hace que me olvide de todo lo demás.

Espero los sentimientos de desolación, tristeza o simplemente mi pena no estén plasmadas literalmente en mis imágenes. Prometo que imágenes con mensajes mas felices vendrán pronto.
